"We Are the Dinosaurs (Dance Remix)" - Laurie Berkner

Artist: Laurie Berkner

Song: "We Are the Dinosaurs (Dance Remix)"

Album: N/A

Description: You know, everything you really need to know about the song is right there in the title.  It's Berkner's modern classic of a song... remixed for the dance floor.  I kinda like it, though I was underwhelmed by the drop.  The preschoolers will probably rave, though.

"Dolphin Disco" - The Whizpops

Artist: The Whizpops

Song: "Dolphin Disco"

Album: Sea Blue Sea

Description: Another nifty collaboration between the Montana-based band and their Montana-based friends at SciShow Kids.  This song's a little more information-dense than some of their other (already information-dense) songs about the natural world, so the kinetic typography lyric video format works well.  Did you know there were so many types of dolphin?  I did not.

"Roller Coaster" - Bari Koral

Artist: Bari Koral

Song: "Roller Coaster"

AlbumThe Apple Tree & The Honey Bee

Description: There is very little to this video -- scenes of simply-drawn roller coaster cars going up and down a surprisingly unthemed roller coaster.  (Aren't all coasters themed these days?)  But they're drawn by Joel Henriques, so they have a certain charm to them.  The video itself is actually part of a big Yogapalooza Live concert featuring Koral in New York City on November 21, so if there's a certain physical activity feeling to the song (and video), I think you know why.

"Ballphabet" - Andrew & Polly

Artist: Andrew and Polly

Album: N/A

Description: This quick video surprisingly sn't from A&P's new album Odds and Ends, which is released this Friday.  Instead, it's a quick video for a quick song from their excellent Ear Snacks podcast.  All sorts of balls, including a few you'd never guess.  (John Baldessari?)

"The Cat Came Back" - Laurie Berkner

Artist: Laurie Berkner

Song: "The Cat Came Back"

AlbumWhaddaya Think of That?

Description: That's one persistent cat (and one annoyed kid in fake mustache and straw hat).  Also, stay tuned for Berkner's mugging for the camera at the end of the video.

"We Are the Robots" (from Yo Gabba Gabba!) - Enon

Artist: Enon

Song: "We Are the Robots"

Show: Yo Gabba Gabba!

Description: How large is the pull of YGG!?  Big enough to get a band that last released an album of original material in 2003 to perform in 2010.  They record the happiest ode to the singularity ever heard, with joyful animation from Mixtape Club to go along with it.

"Lighter Than Air" - Recess Monkey

Artist: Recess Monkey

Song: "Lighter Than Air"

Album: Hot Air

Description: "Penguinese" was the first video from the forthcoming album Hot Air, but "Lighter Than Air" is the first full song on the album.  If you listened to this track alone, you might be forgiven for thinking that it's nothing but a mellow '70s soft-rock fest.  (Spoiler alert: it's not.)  As for the video, it essentially summarizes the first 80% of Hot Air's accompanying DVD.  (There's a plot! It involves penguins and balloons!  Any more you'll have to find out for yourself, I'm not telling.)

"Good Morning My Love" - Vered

Artist: Vered

Song: "Good Morning My Love

Album: Good Morning My Love

Description: A simple, lovely animation from Sivan Kidron of CRC Media which captures the essential gentleness of Vered's debut album's title track.  Lots of parent-child bonding going on throughout the animal kingdom.
